  • Cashback in store: You can withdraw cash up to the limit of your Cash App debit card.
  • Instant Discounts: Adding a Boost to your card could get you immediate discounts. This feature can be used at coffee shops, restaurants, and other retailers that sell items in specific spending categories.

How to Setup a Cash App

To Open a Cash App Account

  • Download the Cash App via Google Play or the Store.
  • Enter your email address or telephone number.
  • Enter the code Cash App sends you to your email address or number.
  • To link a bank account, enter debit card information.
  • Please enter your full name.
  • Select the $Cashtag you want to use as your username.
  • Enter your ZIP code.

An activated account entitles any user to a Cash App Card, provided that they are at least 18 years of age.

Requesting a Cash Card

These steps will allow Cash App account holders to request a card via the app:

  • Tap the Cash Card icon.
  • Click "Get a Free Cash Card"
  • Select a colour to use on the card.
  • You can choose to display the $Cashtag of the account on your card.
  • Tap "Tap to Customize" to sign the card
  • Enter your address and first and last names.
  • Review the terms and conditions to order the card and click "Continue".

Cash App claims that cards are delivered within ten business days.

Activating a cash app card

A QR code is included in every Cash App card that arrives by mail. To activate your card:

  • Tap the Cash App icon.
  • Tap the image of your card.
  • Click "Activate Cash card."
  • To allow Cash App to use your phone's camera, tap "OK".
  • Scanning the QR code provided.

You can also activate your card by entering the expiration date and CVV code printed on the Cash app card.
